Adventure Babies press release 2005: "Formed in late 1991, following a particularly warped night out, school friends Dave Atherton and Matt Tedstone together with Jez Bramwell sloped off to a local studio. 6 months later they had thought of a name for the band, expanded it to an 8 piece and written a whole album.

Following a private performance for Factory records boss Tony Wilson they were quickly snapped up, and played their first proper gig at the Cities in the Park festival alongside labelmates Happy Mondays and Electronic. 2 months re-recording the album with top producer Steve Lillywhite resulted in the album 'Laugh'.

The (of 1991) summer was spent touring up and down the country as well as on the continent; however all was not well at Factory, and when the label went bust the band went back to their day jobs. Still the urge to make music continued, and Matt and Dave recruited more mates, and went back to the studio to record the self-financed album 'Worthy Originals'.

Fast-forward to 2005, and the Adventure Babies have babies of their own. This year could be the last time these old friends playe together in public, and could well be the last chance to witness the legendary AdBabs doing what they do best, performing their own unique brand of timeless pop with an energy and humour that refuses to grow old. Those that miss this this gig will swear they were there in years to come...

Dave Hall: "This album was never released, no idea when it started, but I joined about half way through, track-wise, and 1999 was the last recording we did for it."
