BRIAN NICHOLSON: FACTUS 5 is a U-Matic tape compilation overseen by TONY WILSON. This formed Part 3 of FACT 46... and therefore FACTUS 46? The running time meant that it was split over two tapes. The compilation contains some glorious moments such as THE DURUTTI COLUMN and MARTIN HANNETT in rehearsal at Granada (caption reads "... in which Martin Hannett finally picks up the bass". Also, ACR from the same programme (think it was for the Ray Lowry Celebration programme), BLURT and Section 25 at Heaven, Joy Division Shadowplay on Granada Reports and some of the ACR vids made by Tony

The tape was split into chapters, each chapter having a title card. The editing of the compilation was very rough meaning that some of the title cards had visual roll and/or drop out. At the beginnning of the KEVIN HEWICK clip it says "FACTUS 5 (183)" (the meaning of the 183 is unknown)."
