PreOrder: Re:order live @ The George, London 10.12.11

Charity pre-New Order London warm-up gig, 5pm, Saturday 10 December 2011

New Order return to the UK on Saturday for their first gig here since 2006, and anyone in the vicinity of the gig in the late afternoon should think about going along to a charity event organised by New Order tribute act Re:Order.

The Pre:Order event takes place at The George Tavern, 373 Commercial Road, just 600 yards down the road from the Troxy. The charity in question is 'The Special Care Baby Unit at Chase Farm Hospital' and the event kicks off at 5pm and will be finished in time for everyone to catch New Order's support act, Jake Evans.

Re:Order have been performing since 2004, and faithfully recreate the shambolic nature of all eras of New Order, even down to copying their mistakes! And what is more, they still have a Hooky! In leather trousers!

They plan to play a set of material that New Order will not be playing later on in the evening, and will find time for a celebrity charity raffle/auction, with prizes kindly donated by people related to New Order (and no that doesn't mean they will be raffling off a celebrity). There is no DJ as such, but there may well be open slots on the digital 'wheels of steel' for attendees to play songs from their own iPods for a small fee which will also go to charity.

Please be aware this is a small venue and entry will be on a first come, first served basis with no guest list, pre-sales or reservations. For further details see below, the facebook event page will be updated on a regular basis with info, prizes and ticket prices when confirmed.

Prizes for the Raffle/Auction include a signed 33 1/3 t-shirt, poster and Mind Made Up album donated by Martin Moscrop of A Certain Ratio and CDs from Hacienda Records.
